 Montreal, Canada - Former Bullies forward Jordan Samuels-Thomas was among the late picks in the NHL Entry
Draft Saturday in Montreal.
With nine slots remaining in the final round, the Atlanta Thrashers took Samuels-Thomas with the 203rd overall draft pick.
Last season, Samuels-Thomas became the first Waterloo Black Hawk since 2004-2005 to reach the 30-goal milestone,
leading the team with 32. During his two-year career in Waterloo, the Hartford-area native appeared
in 115 regular season games, with 40 goals and 25 assists. He added two more
goals and three additional assists in 14 Clark Cup playoff games.
Samuels-Thomas will skate for the Bowling Green Falcons in 2009-2010.
