N. Anodver, MA
- We very proud to announce that Ward Hockey instructor and Beantown Bully Justin Mansfield (Boston Jr.
Bruins-EJHL) has committed to Merrimack
College (Hockey East Div. 1) for the 2011 season. ‘It couldn't happen to a
better kid or player" said Peter Ward. "Justin is a versatile forward who also
played defense for the Jr. Bruins this season when they were down with injuries;
he is an exceptional athlete and team guy". Justin excels in puck battles by
using his body to get himself in to position to score. For Ward Hockey the last
two years as an instructor, Justin has been very influential to promising young
hockey players helping them develop their game and teaching them tricks that
make him successful on ice. Mansfield, an Arlington, MA native, played for the Boston Junior Bruins during the last
four seasons coming up through their Empire Junior B program before becoming a stand out in the Eastern Junior Hockey League. He
posted 12-25-37 pts in 45 games (1 PPG,
7 PPA, 3 GWG and 1 SHG) this season and was also selected as an Eastern Junior League All-Star this year. Congrats to Justin and
his family! Merrimack is getting a difference maker.
