Providence, RI - The Beantown Bullies are proud to announce that 6'2", 180 lb. Phillips Andover senior RW Garnet Hathaway has committed to Brown for '10 or '11.
An 11/23/91 birthdate from Kennebunkport, Maine, Hathaway made his pick from among Dartmouth, Union, and Brown. Hathaway, who was #173 in NHL Central Scouting's Mid-Term Rankings, is a big power forward who has picked up his speed a lot over the last couple of seasons. "Garnet is a player every coach wants on his team" Said Peter Ward. "He's a pure athlete and does the little things well, his engine never stops running! It's really great to see him grow as a player over the last three years as he started playing for me in the summer as a 15 year old. It was just a matter of time before Division 1 schools picked up on it." This season Garnet also set Phillip Andovers scoring record for soccer as well. Congrats to Garnet and his family!
